Charging station with built-in WiFi connection
Do you want to easily view the charging data and operate the charging station remotely? Then you need a charging station that can be connected to the internet. This can be done with an Ethernet cable, but WiFi is often preferred. You don't need any extra cables for that. On this page you will find all charging stations with a WiFi or other internet connection.
Why choose a charging station with an internet connection?
When the charging station is connected to the network or wifi, this means that the charging station can be read remotely, configured or you can start or stop the charging station yourself without having to go to the station itself. So it is not necessary, but very useful if you do not feel like having to go outside every time.
Why a 22kW and not an 11kW charging station?
You buy a charging station for many years. Charging speeds of electric cars are still increasing rapidly. 11kW is now the standard, but it is very likely that it will become 22kW. Charging at this speed is interesting if the Netherlands gets flexible energy rates in the future.
Charging as quickly as possible when the electricity is cheap or even paid for is super interesting. By buying a 22kW charger now, you prevent having to upgrade from an 11kW to a 22kW charging station later. We therefore recommend investing in a 22kW charging station with load balancing. With this, you also contribute to a Netherlands that is as green as possible!
Identification via an app or other portal
For identification via a mobile app or external portal, an internet connection is also required. If you plan to have the charging station locked, so that only certain people (or paying customers) have access to the charging station, you will need a charging station with Wi-Fi. For RFID identification, a connection to a network is also required.
Charging stations with connection for an Ethernet cable
In some cases, an Ethernet connection is preferable to ensure a stable connection, for example in very remote areas. If you are looking for a charging station that can be connected with a fixed Ethernet cable, then also look at this page. These charging stations explicitly state that they can be connected with an Ethernet cable.
