Greenworks is known for its powerful and environmentally friendly tools, powered by battery platforms such as 24V, 40V, 60V and 80V. The 24V and 40V systems are popular for light and medium-duty use in the home and garden, while the 60V and 80V platform is often used for professional garden tools. Depending on the voltage and battery model, you will need a suitable charger – such as the Greenworks G24C, G40UC or G60UC models – or a compatible replacement charger with similar specifications.
For 24V batteries, a standard charger with modest charging capacity is sufficient, while 40V or 60V batteries benefit from a fast charger with active cooling and thermal protection. When making your choice, pay attention to the type of connection (often sliding or click mechanism), the charging capacity (in A) and whether the charger is suitable for the Li-ion battery type.
Batteries and capacity: how to choose the right charger?
The right charger depends on the battery capacity (expressed in Ah) and the intended use. A 2.0Ah 24V battery is fully charged within 45–60 minutes with a standard charger. A 4.0Ah 40V battery in combination with a fast charger is ready in approximately 90 minutes.
